Triumph Cable-YH Welding Cable
I. Core Standards
- GB/T 5013.6-2008 Rubber Insulated Cables of Rated Voltages up to and Including 450/750 V — Part 6: Welding Cables
- Specifies electrical performance, mechanical strength, weather resistance, and other requirements.
- Aligns with international standard IEC 60245-6:1994.
II. Technical Requirements
Conductor Material
- Type: Class 6 annealed copper strands (oxygen-free copper, purity ≥99.99%).
- DC Resistance (20°C):
- 16mm² ≤1.15Ω/km
- 25mm² ≤0.727Ω/km.
Insulation & Sheathing
- Insulation: Natural/synthetic rubber, thickness ≥1.2mm.
- Insulation resistance:
- Dry: ≥50 MΩ·km
- After water immersion: ≥20 MΩ·km.
- Sheath Types:
- YH: Natural rubber blend (thickness ≥1.8mm).
- YHF: Chloroprene rubber (superior oil/solvent resistance).
- Temperature Rating:
- YH: ≤65°C (long-term), YHF: ≤70°C; withstands short-term contact with hot workpieces.
Mechanical & Environmental Performance
- Bending Radius: Min. 4–6× cable outer diameter.
- Cold Flexibility: Passes -25°C coiling test without cracking.
- Resistance: UV/ozone/oil/flame-retardant compliant.
Safety Tests
- Voltage withstand: 1.0kV/5min (no breakdown).
III. Specification Reference Table
| Welder Rated Current | Recommended Cross-Section |
|---|
| ≤160A | 16mm² |
| 250A | 25mm² |
| 315A | 35mm² |
| 400A | ≥50mm² |
| 500A | 70mm² |
Note: Verify actual cross-section by measuring single-strand copper diameter to prevent counterfeit undersized cables.
IV. Authenticity Verification
- Label Check: Mandatory 3C certification, model (YH/YHF), standard (GB/T 5013.6).
- Physical Tests:
- Flexibility: High rebound, no cracks after repeated bending.
- Copper Color: Purplish-red (oxygen-free copper).
- Flame Retardancy: Self-extinguishes when ignited.
